Ingredients to Gather
7 cups of oats (can be old-fashioned rolled or quick - I enjoy using a combo!)
1/2 cup of brown sugar, packed
1/2 cup of local honey
1/2 cup of oil of your choice (coconut, canola, or vegetable)
1 tsp cinnamon
2 tsp vanilla extract
OPTIONAL: 1/4 cup of nuts of your choice (I enjoy pecans, almonds, or mixed nuts

Fruit and yogurt parfaits
Add to trail mix
Top off smoothie bowls
With your choice of milk as cereal
At less than 50 cents for a half cup serving, you can make this tasty granola fresh to enjoy!

One of the most satisfying things in the kitchen is clearing out pantry items and dry goods! Extra oats are great for meatloaf, cookies, protein balls, and my favorite: GRANOLA!

Let’s Make It!
Start with measured oats in a large bowl for mixing.
Preheat oven to 375 degrees F.
Combine sugar, oil and honey in a pan. Bring to a low boil.
Remove from heat. Stir in cinnamon and vanilla.
Pour honey mixture over oats. Stir until well coated.
Spread oats onto two lightly greased cookie sheets or 13x9" pans.
Bake @ 375 degrees F for 10 minutes.
Remove from oven and stir.
Turn oven off and return pans to oven, and let it sit for 1-2 hours.
Once cooled below 70 degrees F, store in an air-tight container.
