Real Talk with Niki
In order to do what we do, we’ve had to meet certain criteria, pay unimaginable dues, and keep putting one foot in front of the other through it all!
Here’s a short list of what goes on behind the scenes at Boki’s Kitchen:
Commercial Kitchen
Our commercial kitchen has met the standards of the Adams County Health Department since 1989.
We are inspected on-site 4 times per year by the Adams County Health Department.
To pass inspection, we must meet certain criteria and follow important guidelines.
We pay yearly licensure fees in order to keep things running and to keep our relationship with the health department in good standing.
Certified Food Manager
Hi, it’s me— Niki, the certified food manager of Boki’s Kitchen.
Every commercial kitchen needs a certified food manager.
This certificate is renewed every 5 years which consists of several hours of training, studying and then a proctored exam.
Anyone working with food in our kitchen has completed food handler training and has received a certificate.
I also have my food allergens certificate in addition to being the food manager.
Insurance
Our insurance policies allow us to be able to bring food all over the tri-state area.
Business License
We are registered with the State of Illinois as a catering business.
We pay our necessary dues and taxes.
There’s so much more we could dive into— but the main point is that we’re here to stay, and we’re committed to providing wholesome, nutritious, and safe food.
Having a little bit of this information gives a glimpse into the world of food business and what exactly it takes to create delicious food while protecting your health and well being.
Home kitchen feel with commercial kitchen standards — that’s Boki’s Kitchen!
